Mission Four: "Requiem" (OOC Thread)

Sat Apr 04, 2015 3:02 am

Mission Four will be following up on Mission Three and will basically be the crew dealing with the aftermath of mission three. We will be having a special guest from Obsidian Fleet, so I'm going to expect you all to be on your best behaviour...

Anyways, some of the things going on will be:
- Welcoming the new crew members aboard
- A triumvirate of Admirals will be examining the failure of the mission and the death of the captain, so characters may have to answer to them.
- What to do with the holo-Alenis?
- What to do with Inaji Narale?
- Will Tim get the acceptance of his future father-in-law?
- Dealing with the crew's feelings afterwards (Delainey might be working overtime...)
- And more!

This mission is probably going to be a short one, focusing on shore leave and character development. If you have any other ideas for subplots to involve more characters, use this thread to coordinate that. We'd like to involve everyone, whether it is through being grilled by the Admirals, dealing with the hologram, or even just getting into trouble at Quark's.

I'll be reaching out to folks via PM, but I just wanted to echo what Brian said and offer Delainey up for JPs.

Brian and I were talking about Del wanting to check in with everyone who was on the AT when Alenis died, but I don't want anyone to feel limited that way. I'm up for anything, really. Carlisle came aboard in the midst of the mission without really knowing the crew, so perhaps there's an interesting dynamic to be explored in the light of this major trauma.

Another thought I had was the review team might want Del to consult with them since she hasn't had time to be biased toward the crew and has psychological expertise to add to the assessment. It might be stretching credibility but would definitely create IC drama for her and the crew.

Just a thought! :-)

I'll probably badger people for JPs once we're fully settled in, but I had a question:

Would it be inappropriate for those waiting on the starbase to come to the funeral? Maybe pay respects?

I don't think it would be inappropriate for them to pay respects. After all, she is at the very least a fellow Starfleet officer.

Anyone have any ideas for more subplots?

Nikki winning big at dabo? Someone getting mixed up and owing a lot of latinum to some dangerous people? A religious experience? A visitor from the Gamma Quadrant? The return of Tosk? An expedition to one of Bajor's moons?

How about an assassination attempt on Admiral Cresswell? He's not a very likeable person.

Oooh... Stopping an assassination attempt could put us in his good books...

Any ideas for something involving the children?
