Re: Miranda-class deck plans

I started making a decklisting from these plans, but stopped after a few decks. The chance that OF will allow the huge change in decklisting is so slim that it's a waste of time. It aren't little things that are different but rather major stuff.

There is a reason why we never officially asked permission for changing the Marine Barracks into a school....

Fair enough. Well at the very least I'm going to use some of the designs for individual rooms (The security offices for example) as inspiration if that's okay.

Honestly... my view on that is that it's better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission... just as long as no one tells our TGCO!

If folks are interested, we could take a detailed look at these plans and the current deck listing and see if there is anything we want to change and improve. We can also start chatting about anything we would like to see in a refit to the Portland. Personally, I'm not crazy about straight upgrades to things like weapons systems (being outgunned is part of the fun, and the difference between a Type VII phaser and a Type VIII phaser is something that I really could care less about), but it would be cool to make the ship our own by adding some unique things -- holo-emitters on all decks, additional lab space, maybe a shipwide AI interface or a unique experimental piece of tech like the dark energy reactor or Project Mongoose from episode 1.

How about a rail gun? It's not necessarily a weapon.

It's still a work in progress, but I'm very exited! It's so much more real. We do miss a few things, but I'm sure we can come up with a solution for that.

Because of the lay out and size of the list I can't put it here, so I've put a link to a PDF file with the whole list.

Sorry I've been so absent. This is really cool!!! I'm looking forward to using that security office layout once the away mission is wrapped up.
