I've only done CO and XO, but those experiences were so awful that I prefer to stay away from the academy unless they force me to go.

I've so had it with doing exams for a hobby. I can't even manage to pass my exam for a profession I'm doing for about 8 years. I officially quit about a year ago after 5 years. I did move a few times in those years, get married, have a baby and changed jobs multiple times. So, not that odd that I couldn't finished it.

My wife and I had this very discussion this morning. When a hobby becomes a job, it is no longer a hobby. :)

Totally agree, I had the same issue with the Scout Association,you basically have to do a full training course with 30 odd modules...eugh.
